About

A hometown practice, built by hand.

Dr. David Kemp came home to Sisters to take care of the people who live the kind of life this place asks for.

I love seeing people get back to the things they love.

I grew up in Sisters, finished school in Utah, and earned my doctorate at Western States in Portland in 2010. I built a busy practice in Saratoga Springs. In those years I served as the sports chiropractor for Utah Valley University, and I was invited to treat professional AVP sand volleyball players — including former Olympic gold medalists.

Then a dirt bike crash — five broken ribs, a collarbone, a torn elbow — put me at a crossroads. My wife and I had talked about coming home. The accident made the decision.

We moved back in 2022. I took over the Sisters High School wrestling program, then opened the clinic so people here would not have to drive to Bend or Redmond for care that should live in town.

Sisters is a place where people of all ages are very active — biking, golfing, running, hiking, skiing. I see my job as helping them stay able to do the things they love. Instead of waiting for an injury, I like to focus on prevention. Chiropractic is about movement and function. It keeps the joints working as you move. If a joint does not function well, the stress that moves through your body has nowhere to go.

I hold advanced certification in Class 4 laser therapy. Equine training is through Backbone Academy in Australia — elite international training built for doctors and veterinarians who work on horses.

I keep pharmaceutical-grade supplements in the clinic, including my own magnesium complex. Ask when you visit.

What patients notice

“The adjustment of a lifetime. I have been to a handful of different chiropractors in the past 20 years. None have given me the instant relief I got when I left Dr. Kemp’s office after my first visit.”

Brittany Daniel · Sisters

“I’ve been getting treated by Dr. Kemp for a few years. I have chronic neck pain and he is the only chiropractor who will use enough force to adjust it right without hurting me. He also cured my plantar fasciitis in just a few treatments. I won’t go anywhere else.”

Stephen Bacon · Saratoga Springs
