Pharmaceutical-grade supplements on the clinic counter

In the clinic

Clinic-grade supplements — including my own magnesium complex.

I keep pharmaceutical-grade supplements in the clinic — not the grocery-shelf stuff. Muscle & Mind Recovery is my own magnesium complex. I also carry Innate Choice OmegA+D Sufficiency and their probiotic, plus Standard Process Ferrofood.

Muscle & Mind Recovery bottle

Formulated by Dr. Kemp

Muscle & Mind Recovery

The magnesium complex I wanted on the shelf — four forms, plus D3, K2, and active B6. I got tired of sending people to five bottles.

This is my formula. Four capsules a day. It is built for the people who train, work, and sleep in this town — the ones who need magnesium that actually shows up in muscle and in the nervous system, not just a cheap oxide that goes through them.

The magnesium is 399 mg from four chelates: Albion bisglycinate, dimagnesium malate, magnesium taurinate, and magnesium L-threonate. Glycinate for calm. Malate for muscle. Taurinate and L-threonate for the brain side of recovery. With it: 5,000 IU of vitamin D3, 200 mcg of K2 as MK-7, and 20 mg of vitamin B6 as P5P — the active form.

120 capsules, 30 servings. Made in a GMP facility in the U.S. No artificial colors or flavors, no milk, no added sodium. Take four capsules daily, or as I direct.

  • Serving size: 4 capsules (30 servings per bottle)
  • Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) — 125 mcg (5,000 IU)
  • Vitamin B6 (pyridoxal 5-phosphate) — 20 mg
  • Magnesium (bisglycinate chelate, dimagnesium malate, taurinate, L-threonate) — 399 mg
  • Vitamin K2 (menaquinone-7) — 200 mcg

Also on the shelf

OmegA+D, probiotic, and Ferrofood.

Innate Choice OmegA+D Sufficiency and Probiotic Sufficiency, plus Standard Process Ferrofood — whole-food iron.

OmegA+D Sufficiency

Innate Choice

OmegA+D Sufficiency

Omega-3 plus naturally occurring vitamins A and D3 from Norwegian fish and cod liver oil — the all-in-one I reach for most often.

OmegA+D Sufficiency is the Innate Choice formula that covers omega-3 and vitamin D in the same bottle. EPA, DPA, and DHA from Norwegian fish oil, with naturally occurring vitamin D3 and vitamin A from cod liver oil — not a synthetic add-on sprinkled on later.

Four capsules a day is the usual sufficiency dose. I like it because it is not a mega-dose circus. It is enough. Central Oregon winters, indoor jobs, and people who live in sunscreen are the ones who notice the D piece. The omega-3 is still the reason I carry it.

Probiotic Sufficiency

Innate Choice

Probiotic Sufficiency

A multi-strain probiotic matched to normal human gut flora — dairy-free, vegetarian, and counted for live organisms.

Innate Choice Probiotic Sufficiency is nine species of beneficial bacteria chosen because they actually live in a healthy human gut — not a random mix of whatever is cheap to culture. Independent testing has shown the live-count on the label is real.

Dairy-free, wheat-free, soy-free, corn-free, vegetarian. Gut health is the boring work that makes recovery hold. If digestion, antibiotics, or travel have knocked you off, this is the bottle I hand you.

Ferrofood

Standard Process

Ferrofood

Whole-food iron with B12 and vitamin C — the bottle I use when a cheap iron wrecks the stomach and still does not move the numbers.

Ferrofood is Standard Process’s iron formula. It is built around whole-food ingredients, with B12 and vitamin C so the iron can actually get used. The job is oxygen delivery and normal blood production — the difference between dragging through the day and having a pulse again.

I keep it for the people whose labs say they are low and whose stomachs will not tolerate a drugstore ferrous sulfate. This is not a mega-dose. It is food-based iron the way Standard Process has done it since 1929. Ask me before you start it — iron is not a guess.
