The 1064 nanometer wavelength scatters less and is absorbed less by pigment, so it reaches joint and disc-level tissue the older 810/980-only units leave short.
We use it alongside the adjustment, not instead of it. Light does not replace motion. It helps the tissue around the joint settle so the motion can hold.
